The UEFA European Championships are arranged in 12 different European countries during the summer of 2021. It is the first time that the matches are divided between more than two nations and for the first time, the video assistant referee (VAR), will be used in the finals.
In total 24 teams will qualify for the finals. All 55 UEFA member nations took part in the qualifiers, including the host nations. Teams were divided in 10 groups, best two in each qualified for the finals. Last four remaining places are reserved to the successful teams from The Nations League.
